Statistical analysis of follow-up studies with
R.
This special practical module in week 3 is offering practical
computing exercises using R, as free program available on the net.
It is concurrent with the practicals using Stata.
This module is taught by
Bendix Carstensen.
Material for the week's course work:
- Introductory slides.
- A short introduction to R.
- Computer exercises with R.
Extended version (with solutions).
- Solutions and graphs. These
are also in the extended version of the practical notes. The graph
solutions here only include the statements that produce the graphs,
not the necessary modelling statements prior to the plotting.:
- Monday:
Diet data: program,
output,
graphs.
PBC data: program,
output,
graphs.
- Tuesday:
Diet data, Poisson regression: program,
output,
graphs.
- Wednesday:
Bereavement data: program,
output,
graphs.
- Thursday
Thorotrast data: program,
output,
graphs.
After the course:
You can have more information about the Epi package for R
here.
After the course you can get help by sending queries to the
R-sig-Epi mailing list. But you need to sign up to the list
first, you can do that
here.
Other lecture notes for the EEPE statistical part are
here.
